Pre-opening Comments for Thursday April 24th

U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning. S&P 500 futures were down 5 points at 8:35 AM EDT.

S&P 500 futures recovered 7 points following release of the March Durable Goods Orders report at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was a 1.6% increase versus a 0.9% gain in February. Actual was a 9.2% gain.

Texas Instruments advanced $8.38 to $160.22 after reporting higher than consensus first quarter earnings.

IBM dropped $12.51 to $233.00 after reporting lower than consensus infrastructure and consulting revenues in the first quarter.

Raymond James Financial dropped $3.15 to $132.18 after reporting less than consensus first quarter earnings.

Chipotle dropped $1.76 to $47.00 after reporting less than consensus first quarter revenues.
