Pre-opening Comments for Friday May 23rd

U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning. S&P 500 futures were down 78 points at 8:35 AM EST.

The Canadian Dollar added 0.02 to US72.39 cents following release of Canada’s March Retail Sales at 8:35 AM EDT. Consensus was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.4% decline in February. Actual was a 0.8% increase.

Apple dropped $5.17 to $196.33 after President Trump threatened tariffs on products produced outside of the United States.

Intuit added $54.30 to $720.37 after reporting higher than consensus third quarter earnings

Copart dropped $1.01 to $59.65 after reporting less than consensus fiscal third quarter revenues.

Decker dropped $21.89 to $104.20 after reporting less than consensus first quarter revenues and earnings.

    Keith Richards Video Above – Great overview of the market. He’s calling for a near-term correction based on overbought indicators and I think he said 5600 for a near-term bottom.
