Earnings and Revenue Outlook for S&P 500 companies<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n

<\/b><\/p>\n

Consensus earnings estimates for S&P 500 companies on a year-over-year basis in the second quarter of 2022 were reduced slightly last week.<\/b> According to www.FactSet.com<\/a> second quarter earnings on a year-over-year basis increased 4.1% (versus 4.3% last week) and revenues increased 10.1% (versus 10.2% last week). <\/p>\n

Consensus earnings and revenue estimates for S&P 500 companies beyond the second quarter on a year-over-year basis also slipped slightly last week<\/b>. According to www.FactSet.com<\/a> earnings in the third quarter are expected to increase 10.5% (versus 10.6% last week) and revenues are expected to increase 9.7% (versus 9.8% last week). Earnings in the fourth quarter are expected to increase 9.7% (versus 10.0% last week) and revenues are expected to increase 7.5%. Earnings on a year-over-year basis for all of 2022 are expected to increase 10.2% (versus 10.4% last week) and revenues are expected to increase 10.7%.<\/p>\n

U.S. May Factory Orders<\/b> released at 10:00 AM EDT on Tuesday are expected to increase 0.5% versus a gain of 0.3% in April.<\/p>\n

June Non-manufacturing ISM PMI<\/b> released at 10:00 AM EDT on Wednesday is expected to slip to 54.5 from 55.9 in May.<\/p>\n

FOMC Meeting Minutes<\/b> are released at 2:00 PM EDT on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

June ADP Employment Report<\/b> released at 8:15 AM EDT on Thursday is expected to increase to 200,000 from 128,000 in May.<\/p>\n

U.S. June Non-farm Payrolls<\/b> reported at 8:30 AM EDT on Friday are expected to slip to 265,000 from 300,000 in May. June Unemployment Rate<\/b> is expected to remain unchanged from May at 3.6%. June Average Hourly Earnings<\/b> are expected to increase 0.3% versus a gain of 0.3% in May (Year-over-year 5.0% versus 5.2%).<\/p>\n
