U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 14 points in pre-opening trade. <\/em><\/p>\n

Focus today is on results from the FOMC meeting scheduled for release at 2:00 PM EDT.<\/b> Consensus calls for an increase in the Fed Fund Rate by 0.75% and continuation of a program to reduce the Federal Reserve\u2019s balance sheet by $95 billion per month.<\/em><\/p>\n

Berkshire Hathaway added $0.27 to $277.40<\/b> after Edward Jones upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy. <\/em><\/p>\n

General Mills added $1.07 to $76.48<\/b> after reporting higher than consensus fiscal first quarter results. The company also offered positive guidance. <\/em><\/p>\n
