U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 2 points in pre-opening trade.<\/em><\/p>\n

Investors are focusing on a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Powell scheduled at 1:30 PM EST<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

Index futures dropped 5 points following release of revised real third quarter GDP at 8:30 AM EST showing growth at 2.9% versus previous growth at 2.6%.<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

NetApp $<\/b>NTAP dropped $7.79 to $64.00 after the company lowered guidance.<\/em><\/p>\n

Workday<\/b> $WDAY added $12.20 to $155.40 after the company announced an additional $500 million share buyback program<\/em><\/p>\n

Royal Bank $RY.TO added $0.56 to $134.33<\/b> after reporting higher than consensus fiscal fourth quarter earnings. The Bank also raised its dividend by 3%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Horizon Therapeutics<\/b> $HZNP jumped $27.24 to $106.00 after the company confirmed possible takeover discussions with three suitors. <\/em><\/p>\n

Shanghai Composite Index<\/b> moved above 3,145.75 to 3,149.75 completing an intermediate reversal pattern. It also moved above its 20 and 50 day moving averages. Strength relative to the S&P 500 Index has just turned positive.<\/p>\n

Emerging Markets and related ETFs continue to show improving technicals on a real and relative basis. BMO Emerging Markets ETF<\/b> $ZEM moved above $18.81 extending an intermediate uptrend. VALE<\/b> $VALE one of the largest base metals producers in the world moved above $15.98 extending an intermediate uptrend. Seasonal influences are positive until mid-February.<\/p>\n

Several locations are available across Canada, including the Birmingham Gilgan House located in Oakville. Operations are funded without federal or provincial government support. Previously, services were offered only at physical locations across Canada. Since the start of COVID 19 most services also have been offered \u201con line\u201d. <\/font><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/font><\/em><\/p>\n

The annual fund raising program at this time of year is called \u201cLight up Wellspring<\/b>\u201d. The idea is to make official charitable donations in the form of virtual Christmas decorations: Sponsor a bulb ($20), strand of lights ($50), red cardinal ornament ($100), guiding star ($250), wreath ($500) or Tree of Hope ($1,000) to bring light and hope to those living with cancer this holiday season. <\/font><\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s when free cash flow from non-U.S .operations realized by major U.S. based companies is repatriated into U.S. Dollars for year-end reporting, dividend and tax purposes.<\/p>\n
