U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures at 7:30 AM EST were up 3 points. <\/em><\/p>\n

Focus this morning is on the U.S. December Consumer Price Index to be<\/b> released at 8:30 AM EST<\/b>. Consensus is a decline 0.1% versus a gain of 0.1% in November. On a year-over-year basis<\/b>, December CPI is expected to increase 6.5% versus a gain of 7.1% in November. Excluding food and energy<\/b>, December Consumer Price Index is expected to increase 0.3% versus a gain of 0.2% in November. On a year-over-year basis<\/b>, core December CPI is expected to increase 5.7% versus a gain of 6.0% in November.<\/em><\/p>\n

KB Homes dropped $1.64 to 434.30<\/b> after reporting lower than consensus fiscal fourth quarter earnings. The company also lowered guidance. <\/em><\/p>\n

Aritzia added $0.92 to $51.22<\/b> after reporting higher than consensus fiscal third quarter revenues. The company also raised fourth quarter revenue guidance.<\/em><\/p>\n
