U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were down 10 points in pre-opening trade. <\/em><\/p>\n

The Canadian Dollar added 0.09 to US74.561 cents following release of Canada\u2019s December Consumer Price Index at 8:30 AM EST<\/b>. Consensus was a decrease of 0.5%. Actual was a decrease of 0.6%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus for December CPI was an increase of 6.4% versus a gain of 6.8% in November. Actual was an increase of 6.3% .<\/em><\/p>\n

Goldman Sachs dropped $5.00 to $369.00<\/b> after reporting less than consensus fourth quarter revenues and earnings. <\/em><\/p>\n

Travellers fell $2.54 to $191.36<\/b> after warning that fourth quarter results will be impaired by winter storms<\/em>. <\/p>\n
