U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were down 48 points in pre-opening trade.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 Index futures dropped 20 points following release of economic news at 8:30 AM EST:<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

January Personal Income<\/b> was expected to increase 0.9% versus a gain of 0.2% in December. Actual was an increase of 0.6%. January Personal Spending<\/b> was expected to increase 1.3% versus a drop of 0.2% in December. Actual was an increase of 1.8%.<\/em><\/p>\n

January Core PCE Price Index<\/b> was expected to increase 0.4% versus a gain of 0.3% in December. Actual was an increase of 0.6%. On a year-over-year basis, January Core PCE Price Index was expected to increase 4.3% versus a gain of 4.4% in December. Actual was an increase of 4.7%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Intuit added $1.12 to $413.00<\/b> after reporting higher than consensus fourth quarter revenues and earnings.<\/em><\/p>\n

Carvana dropped $0.20 to $9.88 <\/b>after reporting lower than consensus fourth quarter revenues. <\/em><\/p>\n
