U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 12 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

Index futures moved higher following release of the March Producer Price Index<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was an increase 0.1% versus a decline of 0.1% in February. Actual was a drop of 0.5%. On a year-over-year basis, Consensus was an increase 3.1% versus 4.9% in February. Actual was an increase of 2.7%. Excluding food and energy, consensus was an increase of 0.2% versus a gain of 0.2% in February. Actual was a decline of 0.1%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was an increase 3.8% versus a gain of 4.5% in February. Actual was a gain of 3.6%. <\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

Harley Davidson dropped $1.11 to $36.25<\/b> after the company\u2019s Chief Operating Officer exited the company to take a similar position at Hasbro. <\/em><\/p>\n

Merck added $1.34 to $115.09<\/b> after Citigroup upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy.<\/em><\/p>\n

Alibaba $BABA added $1.04 to $94.88<\/b> on a report that SoftBank sold most of its stake in the company.<\/em><\/p>\n
