U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning.<\/b> S&P 500 futures were down 13 points at 8:35 AM EDT. <\/em><\/p>\n

Index futures were virtually unchanged following release of U.S. economic news at 8:30 AM EDT:<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

March PCE Price Index ex food & energy<\/b> was expected to increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.3% in February. Actual was an increase of 0.3%. On a year-over-year basis, March core PCE Price Index<\/b> was expected to increase 4.5% versus a gain of 4.7% in February. Actual was an increase of 4.6%.<\/em><\/p>\n

March Personal Income<\/b> was expected to increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.3% in February. Actual was an increase of 0.3%. March Personal Spending<\/b> was expected to decrease 0.1% versus a gain of 0.2% in February. Actual was unchanged.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Canadian Dollar was down 0.04 to US73.29 cents following release of Canada\u2019s February GDP<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT<\/b>. Consensus was an increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.5% in January. Actual was an increase of 0.1%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was an increase of 2.6%. Actual was an increase of 2.5%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Amazon dropped $2.52 to $107.30 <\/b>despite reporting higher than consensus subscription revenues in the first quarter. <\/em><\/p>\n

Intel gained $1.74 to $31.60<\/b> despite reporting its largest quarterly loss in its history. The company also reported higher than consensus first quarter revenues. <\/em><\/p>\n

Pinterest dropped $3.52 to $23.75<\/b> after predicting higher operating expenses and lower revenues in the second quarter. <\/em><\/p>\n
