Bank of England raised its overnight lending rate by 0.25% as expected.<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

Index futures were unchanged following release of the U.S. April Producer Price Index<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT. <\/b>Consensus was an increase 0.3% versus a decline of 0.5% in March. Actual was an increase of 0.2% . On a year-over-year basis, consensus was an increase of 2.5% versus a gain of 2.7% in March. Actual was an increase of 2.3%. Excluding food and energy, consensus was an increase 0.2% versus a decline of 0.1% in March. Actual was an increase of 0.2%. On a year-over-year basis, core PPI was expected to increase 3.3% versus a gain of 3.4% in March. Actual was an increase of 3.4% <\/em><\/p>\n

Nutrien dropped $1.36 to US$62.00<\/b> after reporting less than consensus first quarter earnings. <\/em><\/p>\n
