U.S .equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 12 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Canadian Dollar was unchanged at US74.21 cents following release of March Canadian Retail Sales at 8:30 AM EDT.<\/b> Consensus was a drop of 1.4% versus a decline of 0.2% in February. Actual was a drop of 1.4%. Excluding auto sales, consensus was a drop of 0.8% versus a drop of 0.7% in February. Actual was a drop of 0.3%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Applied Materials dropped $1.92 to $120.00<\/b> after lowering third quarter guidance.<\/em><\/p>\n

Occidental Petroleum added $0.15 to $58.40<\/b> after Berkshire Hathaway confirmed additional purchases of the stock to almost a 25% interest.<\/em><\/p>\n

DXC Technology dropped $1.00 to$22.75<\/b> after reporting less than consensus fiscal fourth quarter results. <\/em><\/p>\n
