June Core PCE Price Index<\/b> was expected to increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.3% in May. Actual was an increase of 0.2%. On a year-over-year basis, the Index was expected to increase 4.2% versus a gain of 4.6% in May. Actual was an increase of 4.1%.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

June Personal Income<\/b> was expected to increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.4% in May. Actual was an increase of 0.3%. June Personal Spending <\/b>was expected to increase 0.4% versus a gain of 0.1% in May. Actual was an increase of 0.5%<\/em><\/p>\n

May Canadian GDP<\/b> released at 8:30 AM EDT on Friday was expected to increase 0.3% versus unchanged in April. Actual was an increase of 0.3%. On a year-over-year basis, May GDP was expected to increase 1.9%. Actual was an increase of 1.9%. The Canadian Dollar was unchanged at US75.70 cents following the news.<\/em><\/p>\n

Intel<\/b> gained $1.95 to $36.50 after reporting higher than consensus second quarter earnings. The company also raised guidance for the third quarter.<\/em><\/p>\n
