U.S. equity index futures were mixed this morning.<\/b> S&P 500 futures were unchanged at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Canadian Dollar was unchanged at US 74.64 cents following release of the August Consumer Price Index at 8:30 AM EDT.<\/b> Consensus was a year-over-year increase of 3.8% versus a gain of 3.3% in July. Actual was an increase of 4.0%. Excluding food and energy, consensus was a gain of 3.7% versus upwardly revised gain of 3.9% in July. Actual was an increase of 4.1%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Block <\/b>dropped $1.15 to $50.10 after the company\u2019s CEO departed. Jack Dorsey will resume the role. <\/em><\/p>\n

US Steel<\/b> added $0.32 to $30.85 after offering third quarter guidance above consensus. <\/em><\/p>\n
