S&P 500 futures slipped 5 points following release of economic news at 8:30 AM EST:<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n

U.S. October Producer Price Index<\/b> was expected to increase 0.1% versus a gain of 0.5% in September. Actual was a decrease of 0.5%. Excluding food and energy, October PPI was expected to increase 0.2% versus a gain of 0.3% in September. Actual was an increase of 0.1%<\/em><\/p>\n

U.S. October Retail Sales<\/b> were expected to drop 0.1% versus a gain of 0.7% in September. Actual was a drop of 0.1%.<\/em><\/p>\n

November Empire State Manufacturing Survey<\/b> was expected to recover to -2.60 from -4.60 in October. Actual was a recovery to +9.10.<\/em><\/p>\n

Loblaw Companies<\/b> (L-TO $123.03) is expected to open higher after reporting higher than consensus third quarter earnings.<\/em><\/p>\n
