U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 19 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

Index futures added 7 points following release of the February U.S. Consumer Price Index<\/b> at 8:30 AM<\/b> EDT. <\/b>Consensus was an increase of 0.4% versus a gain of 0.3% in January. Actual was an increase of 0.4%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was an increase of 3.1% versus a 3.1% increase in January. Actual was an increase of 3.2%. Excluding food and energy, consensus was an increase of 0.3% versus a 0.4% increase in January. Actual was an increase of 0.4%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus for February core CPI was an increase of 3.7% versus a 3.9% increase in January. Actual was an increase of 3.8%.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oracle<\/b> gained $12.37 to $126.50 after reporting higher than consensus fiscal third quarter earnings. <\/em><\/p>\n
