U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were down 17 points at 8:35 AM EST.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures dropped 7 points following release of the November Producer Price Index at 8:30 AM EST.<\/b> Consensus was a 0.3% gain versus a 0.2% gain in October. Actual was a 0.4% gain. n a year-over-year basis, consensus was a 2.6% gain versus a 2.5% gain in October. Actual was a 3.0% gain. Excluding food and energy, consensus was a 0.2% gain versus a 0.3% gain in October. Actual was a 0.2% gain. On a year-over-year basis, consensus for core was 3.3% versus a 3.1% gain in October. Actual was a 3.4% gain.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Bank of Canada\u2019s drop in lending rate<\/b> for Canada\u2019s largest banks by 0.50% prompted Toronto Dominion Bank, Bank of Montreal, Commerce Bank and Royal Bank to lower their prime lending rate from 5.95% to 5.45%.<\/em><\/p>\n

European Central Bank<\/b> dropped its lending rate by 0.25% to 3.00%<\/em><\/p>\n

Adobe<\/b> dropped $48.93 to $501.00 after offering fiscal first quarter guidance below consensus. <\/em><\/p>\n

Champions Oncology<\/b> advanced $0.82 to $6.66 after reporting higher than consensus fiscal second quarter earnings. <\/em><\/p>\n
