U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were down 24 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures slipped 2 points following release of May U.S. Retail Sales<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was a 0.6% drop versus a 0.1% gain in April. Actual was a 0.9% drop. Excluding auto sales<\/b>, consensus for May Retail Sales was a 0.2% increase versus a 0.1% increase in April. Actual was a 0.3% drop.<\/em><\/p>\n

Enphase<\/b>, a solar energy company plunged $7.29 to $38.64 after a Senate committee proposed an end to wind and solar tax credits.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lennar <\/b>added $2.96 to $112.45 after reporting higher than consensus fiscal second quarter revenues. The company also offered positive third quarter guidance. <\/em><\/p>\n

Verve Therapeutic<\/b> advanced $4.77 to $11.04 after Eli Lilly offered to purchase the company for $1.3 billion.<\/em><\/p>\n
