U.S. equity index futures were mixed this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were unchanged at 8:35 AM EDT<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures added 2 points following release of economic news at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus for July Philly Fed Index was a 0.1% drop versus a 0.4% drop in June. Actual was a 15.9 gain. Consensus for June Retail Sales was a 0.2% increase versus a 0.9% drop in June. Actual was a 0.6% increase. Excluding auto sales, consensus was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.3% drop in June. Actual was a 0.5% increase.<\/em><\/p>\n

Alcoa<\/b> (AA) added $0.52 to $29.08 after reporting higher than consensus second quarter revenues and earnings. Seasonal influences are favourable until October 15th<\/sup>. See seasonality chart at <\/em>www.equityclock.com<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n
