U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 33 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures advanced 30 points following release of the U.S. July Consumer Price Index<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was a 0.2% increase versus a 0.3% increase in June. Actual was a 0.2%. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was a 2.8% increase versus a 2.7% in June. Actual was a 2.7% increase. Excluding food and energy, July CPI was expected to increase 0.3% versus a 0.2% increase in June. Actual was a 0.3% increase. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was a 3.0% increase. Actual was a 3.1% increase.<\/em><\/p>\n

Eastman Kodak<\/b> dropped $0.25 to $6.53 after reporting a second quarter loss. The company also warned that it might not be around much longer. <\/em><\/p>\n

Adobe <\/b>dropped an additional $0.65 to $333.00 after Melius Research downgraded the stock from hold to sell. Target price was dropped to $310 from $400.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sinclair Broadcast Group<\/b> advanced $2.64 to $15.20 after the company is announced a strategic review that could lead to sales or acquisitions. <\/em><\/p>\n
