U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 16 points at 8:35 AM EDT.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures added 12 points following release of the August U.S. Employment Report<\/b>. Consensus for August Non-farm Payrolls<\/b> was a 74,000 gain versus an upwardly revised 79,000 gain in July. Actual was a 22,000 gain. Consensus for the August Unemployment Rate<\/b> was an increase to 4.3% from 4.2% in July. Actual was 4.3%. Consensus for August Average Hourly Earnings<\/b> was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.3% gain in July. Actual was a 0.3% gain. On a year-over-year basis<\/b>, August Average Hourly Earnings were expected to increase 3.8% versus a 3.9% increase in July. Actual was a 3.7% gain.<\/em><\/p>\n

Broadcom<\/b> advanced $11.40 to $317.50 after reporting higher than expected third quarter revenues. The company also offer favourable fourth quarter guidance. <\/em><\/p>\n

Lulu Lemon<\/b> dropped $29.08 to $176.80 after releasing guidance below consensus.<\/em> <\/p>\n
