Index futures dropped 8 points following release of economic news at 8:30 AM EST. Consensus for September U.S. Producer Price Index<\/b> was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.1% drop in August. Actual was a 0.3% gain. Consensus for September U.S. Retail Sales<\/b> was a 0.4% increase versus a 0.6% gain in August. Actual was a 0.2% increase.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Sandisk <\/b>advanced $26.69 to $226.96 after the stock will be added to the S&P 500 Index on Friday replacing Interpublic Group<\/em><\/p>\n

Micron <\/b>advanced $3.01 to $226.94 after Morgan Stanley raised its target price from $325 to $338.<\/em><\/p>\n
