U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning<\/b>. S&P 500 futures were up 31 points at 8:35 AM EST.<\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures gained 20 points following release of the U.S. January Employment Report<\/b> at 8:30 AM EST. Consensus for January Non-farm Payrolls<\/b> was a 60,000 increase versus a 50,000 increase in December. Actual was a 130,000 increase. Consensus for the January Unemployment Rate<\/b> was unchanged from December at 4.4%. Actual was a drop to 4.3% Consensus for January Average Hourly Earnings<\/b> was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.3% increase in December. Actual was a 0.4% increase. On a year-over-year basis<\/b>, consensus called for a 3.7% increase in January versus a 3.8% increase in December. Actual was a 3.7% increase.<\/em><\/p>\n

Robinhood <\/b>(HOOD) dropped $4.60 to $81.00 after reporting less than consensus fourth quarter revenues.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lyft<\/b> (LYFT) dropped $2.50 to $14.35 after releasing cautious first quarter guidance.<\/em> <\/p>\n

Utilities SPDRs<\/b> (XLU) moved above $43.82 setting an intermediate uptrend, U.S. Real Estate iShares<\/b> (IYR) moved above $98.46 extending an intermediate uptrend and U.S. Homebuilders SPDRs<\/b> (XHB) moved above $120.21 resuming an intermediate uptrend. <\/p>\n
