U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning.<\/b> S&P 500 futures were down 63 points at 8:35 AM EST. <\/em><\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures dipped 3 points following release of the January U.S. Producer Price Index<\/b> at 8:30 AM EST. Consensus called for a 0.3% increase versus a 0.5% gain in December. Actual was a 0.5% gain. Excluding food and energy, consensus called for a 0.4% increase versus a 0.4% gain in December. Actual was a 0.3% gain.<\/em><\/p>\n

Intuit (INTU) <\/b>dropped $14.42 to $380.00 after issuing fiscal third quarter guidance below consensus. <\/em><\/p>\n

Block<\/b> (XYZ) gained $11.07 to $65.60 after announcing a 40% reduction in its work force.<\/em> <\/p>\n
