S&P 500 futures were unchanged following release of the September Housing Starts Report<\/b> at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus called for no change in August at 1.3 million units. Actual was 1.22 million.<\/em><\/p>\n

Steel Dynamics<\/b> (STLD) dropped $13.63 to $231.54 after reporting less than consensus third quarter earnings. <\/em><\/p>\n

General Motors<\/b> dropped $3.80 to $78.85 despite announcing a $20 billion share buyback program. The company reported less than consensus third quarter results. <\/em><\/p>\n
