S&P 500 futures added 3 points following release of the April Empire State Manufacturing Survey at 8:30 AM EST. Consensus called for a dip to -0.5 from -0.2 in March. Actual was a gain to 11.0.
Broadcom added $12.22 to $393.00 after announcing plans to co-develop custom AI computer chips with Meta Platforms.
Citigroup added $0.12 to $129.70 after reporting higher than consensus first quarter earnings.
JP Morgan added $0.25 to $311.37 after reporting higher than consensus first quarter earnings.
Blackrock added $0.02 to $1,054.58 after reporting higher than consensus first quarter earnings.
