Pre-opening Comments for Wednesday September 9^th

U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning. S&P 500 futures were down 29 points at 8:30 AM EDT. Index futures responded to another $2.20 increase in WTI crude oil prices to $95.23 barrel.

The Canadian Dollar slipped to US72.59 cents after President Trump signed orders to ban the importation of many Canadian dairy products, alcoholic beverages and motorcycles in retaliation for Canadian tariffs that took effect yesterday.

Meta Platform (META) added $32.50 to $645.99 after launch of its AI Assistant Muse.

Costco (COST) an S&P 100 stock moved below $905.77 extending an intermediate downtrend.

Mondelez (MDLZ) an S&P 100 stock moved below $60.65 completing a double top pattern.

United Parcel Service (UPS) an S&P 100 stock moved below $101.22 setting an intermediate downtrend.
